About the conference

About the conference
Efficient transport and logistics systems create opportunities and benefits for economic and social development. The field “transport” itself is quite complex and combines several directions – for the operation of transport, at least three factors are necessary – 1. infrastructure; 2. Rolling stock (car) 3. Management, which in itself indicates the versatility of the field. In specific cases, other interdisciplinary factors are added to this (civil engineering; mechanics; business; economics; logistics; politics, etc.) which ultimately makes transport issues quite diverse and complex. Accordingly, the international scientific conference “Transport Bridge Europe-Asia” and under its auspices the multi-profile study of transport problems and the preparation of scientific analyzes and conclusions are important for the long-term socio-political, public, cultural and/or technical progress of any country, especially Georgia, taking into account its geostrategic location.

In general, transport is the most important for the development of socio-economic and defense capability of the country. Without its sustainable development, the effective operation of any branch of the national economy is unthinkable; Transport is of special importance for both social and economic spheres in Georgia. The geopolitical situation of Georgia, its role in the “Europe-Asia” transport corridor makes the harmonious development of transport and its types particularly relevant, which makes clear the need for qualified scientific research in this field and the need for the transfer of best global practices and knowledge. Researches in the direction of transport are important from both scientific and practical point of view. Today, based on national interests, it is important to discuss the current challenges and future national and global perspectives of the transport sector of Georgia in the following directions:

engineering-technical and infrastructural aspects of transport;
socio-economic aspects of transport;
Aspects of transport management and policy.
Ultimately, the goal of the conference is to discuss the problems of the transport sector in the format of a high-level institutional international scientific conference with the participation of representatives of the scientific and academic circles. At the same time, as a result of information exchange and experience sharing, local scientific potential should be promoted and strengthened, the possibility of integration and cooperation of scientists in the international scientific field; To develop and popularize science, to attract new personnel in science and to raise the qualifications of young scientists.

experience and international cooperation

The International Scientific Conference “Transport Bridge Europe-Asia” as a “leading organization” has been held for 8 years at the Technical University of Georgia, specifically organized by the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering, which is the oldest and most traditional school in Georgia, where research and knowledge accumulation has been for more than a century. is happening – including in the direction of transport engineering and the transport sector in general, as an industrial flagship. The faculty covers basically all directions of teaching and research in the field of transport. It covers almost all the components of the transportation system and is a recognized educational institution where several exclusive educational programs and scientific researches of national importance are conducted.

The traditional partner of the conference is the Silesian University of Technology – Poland, which is one of the leading educational institutions. With relevant resources and expertise, it provides a valuable partnership to the conference – especially through panel work and collaborative scientific activities, and from an academic perspective. International collaboration with European institutions within the framework of the conference is of a very high academic standard and provides great opportunities for international recognition. The scientific conference “Transport Bridge Europe-Asia” is already a traditional event, and high-ranking scientists and institutions from different countries of the world have taken part in it many times.

The international quality of the project is determined by the involvement of international partners in the project, both individually and from an institutional point of view. The international quality of the conference is also determined by the topicality of the topic, not only in the local and regional sense, but also considering its huge international importance (meaning the field of transport in general and the international importance of the transit corridor of Georgia).

The 8th conference is carried out in partnership with the following organizations:

Silesian University of Technology (Poland);
National Academy of Sciences of Georgia;
Engineering Academy of Georgia:
Kutaisi District of Georgia Tsereteli State University;
